What a wonderful weekend! My little brother got married! We drove up to Eureka Springs on Friday where Matt and Stacy got married on Saturday at the Crescent Hotel. It was such a beautiful time and everythinig was so lovely. I have always thought Stacy was very pretty and of course as a bride, she was even more so. I have to show off my favorite pictures of them. Congrats Matt & Stacy! We love you!

Moms are great!
Aaron was just in Denver for a week and my mom came down to visit. What a lifesaver! It was so nice to have her down while he was away. Bryson was "babysat" for the first time while Cori and I went to our class on Monday. Cori teased me because I only mentioned that I was worried about Bryson every 5 minutes, or so she says, I didn't think it was that bad. Of course, I just knew Bryson was missing me, but I guess somehow he managed and had a good time playing with my mom. I think he was secretly missing me tons but didn't want to let her know, or at least it makes me feel better to think so. He's getting to be such a big boy. He still cries the second he wakes though, its kind of funny, his eyes aren't even open yet and he starts crying to let me know he's ready to get out. He has now officially slept through the night 3 times in his life and every once in awhile he even doesn't cry when I lay him down, woo-hoo! It only took 10 months to get here. I guess it didn't help that he slept in our bed for the first 6 months of his life, what can we say, our kids are spoiled, (or rather, not spoiled but "well loved" as a couple of my friends say).
THANKS MOM!

Leno (aka Buster)
Cori and I went to our first cake decorating class on July 9. I thought this would be something fun for us girls to do together this summer. The teenager in her creeped out when I first mentioned this and she had made faces and said "oh what fun this will be" sarcastically. So you can imagine how much I teased her about all the fun she was having that first night. She really got into the decorating! There was another couple of girls who were probably about 15, so that helped and also a 9 year old and then the rest of us "old" folks.
We called Aaron on our way back home this night and he gave us the sad/good news that Buster's family came looking for him and picked him up. Buster's real name is Leno and he had quite a venture to get from his house to ours. Cori was a little sad, she was hoping to have a third dog; I was a little relieved. The owners mentioned to Aaron the name of the street they lived on and Cori and I stalked (I mean drove by) the neighborhood later in the week to see if we could spot him. We did in his backyard so every once in awhile we drive by and wave at him.

The Tail of Three Huskies
Tonight our neighbors came by to ensure that we still had both of our dogs in our house. It seems someone's husky came wandering up and made himself at home in their backyard while they were grilling. Of course it was not one of ours but we were curious to go check it out. Sure enough, there was the sweetest dog who was really mellow, mild-mannered and was wanting a serious petting. Well you know us, we had to take it in so that it wouldn't get hurt by any of the crazy drivers around our house. We called the local police immediately to leave our number in case anyone was looking for him. He is in good athletic condition, our spoiled dogs are a bit overweight, but he is just a little taller than ours. He may even be a malamute. And he has one blue eye and one brown.
Cori has already named him "Buster". That's a bad sign and Aaron seems to be taking to him also. We have put up signs at our local grocery stores. He seems well taken care of so I am assuming someone will come looking for him soon. He is a sweetie. Max and Quinn sure are having a nice time checking him out. "Buster" has not been neutered though so we are watching everyone carefully. He seemed to be camera shy but here's one that we managed to snap.

4th of July
Cori and I have resolved to make July "Cake Decorating Month" at our house. So to start it out right we celebrated the 4th with some goodies. Cori says that the 4th is all about cupcakes so we had a great time decorating some and sharing them with the neighbors (there were too many for just us three and a half). Cori baked the cupcakes herself using a wedding cake mix. She is really good at this! Her and I love baking together but we leave most of the rest of cooking up to Aaron. Here are a few of our cupcakes. They got rave reviews from the neighbors. I cannot wait to see how our skills improve once our cake decorating classes begin.

Our Little Texas Two Stepper
This is Bryson's new nickname. He took his first steps today! We are so proud of him! The funniest thing is that he gets so excited that he starts jumping up and down while he is walking so he can only get about two steps in before he tumbles. Luckily he perfected the "landing on his butt" technique long ago. It is so cute because when he gets close to his destination (usually his momma) he dives in to be caught at the end. They do grow up so fast.
